Grow

Bismillah Al Rahman Al Rahim

I force myself to finally finish writing on this post. It's taking me too long. Way too long. Banyak sangat nak dikongsikan sebenarnya and I've been really busy at home. I'll keep that story for another day. So here is a little story I would love to share.

With HIS permission, I let myself grow. I was invited for an Iftar with Kak Nurul, to me she is an inspirational blogger. She never fails to pull me from reading her well written posts. I love to read her blog! Anyways, So since I'm not that picky when it comes to restaurant (as long as there is a prayer room) I agreed to have our meeting Iftar session at Bens, Bangsar Village. Implementing from what I've been taught by Mom, Rule Number 1: never meet someone older than you with an empty hand so I took the liberty to buy a book for baby Eshan, a 3 year old adorable little boy (correct me if I'm wrong with his age ya Kak Nurul) I love everything about him especially his round innocent eyes and his soft wavy hair. Haih! geram! >_<

Don't you find them adorable? :)

Anyways, I am very thankful to her for letting me be in her circle (I hope), letting me see a glimpse of her interesting yet challenging stories on life. I was very intrigue by her endless care for her son, Eshan. Mak mana tak sayang anak kan? anyhow, I saw so much love in every topic regarding Eshan. I somehow learn that it is definitely not an easy task to be a mother, parents. You need constant vigilance, constant touch, constant use of voice, constant regulation of needs to the second tier. You need to teach virtually everything, from language, manners, discipline, to empathy. Basically everythinglah!

Meeting someone that I've never meet before. A virtual online friend. A mom. A wife. Honestly, I didn't find it odd until my bestfriend got puzzled when I told her about it lol. So how can I say YES in meeting Kak Nurul? Truth is, it was more like my guts telling me to give it a GO. I'm actually glad that I stick to my instinct. Kak Nurul, Eshan, Wawa (Kak Nurul's younger sister), Apek (Wawa's boyfriend) and Eshan. They were amazing wonderful souls. Not even once I felt awkward nor bored (although I know Kak Nurul was pretty worried about it though lol) I'm very sorry if there were a few seconds of silence. I'm so used to not talking too much while eating. It's one of those teaching that Mom used to do. So I hope you don't look at it as those "awkward silence moments" lol

It was so good. I felt as if we were being so civilized and sophisticated. We put our barriers aside and break the walls between us. Rasa seperti berjumpa dengan seorang sahabat lama. Of course, I kept on reminding myself to watch over my manners and be respectful as she is still older than me. ANYHOW it was better than I expected it to be. I never knew this could be an exciting experience lol. So basically, I let myself grow into a more adult and mature person also not forgetting my view on this blogging world. I have so much more to say but those that I left out, you can read it at Kak Nurul's blog. Please give yourself a few minutes to drop by and read her blog. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

p/s: So whose next in queue? hahaha perasan. X_X

someone: no they dont have surau or anything like that in their malls.

Someone said...

then why the first thing you think about when going to a place is having a side prayer mat place?

Aiman Ariffin said...

Someone: currently I'm at Malaysia. When you break fast, of course you need to find a place where you can perform your Maghrib prayer, easier isnt it? dont need to rush back home and you can stay at the restaurant longer.

When i was at Brisbane. I stay in the city itself. Everything is walking distance.

When I mention about prayer room. I'm referring to Iftar at Malaysia k.
